Discussion on the life of the Báb

“O PEOPLES of the earth! Verily the resplendent Light of God hath appeared in your midst, invested with this unerring Book, that ye may be guided aright to the ways of peace and, by the leave of God, step out of the darkness into the light and onto this far-extended Path of Truth.” ~ The Báb

The Birth of the Báb

On October 20 every year, Bahá’ís around the world celebrate the birth of the Báb.  The Báb was born in 1819 in Shiraz, Iran and from an early age He showed signs of greatness.  At age 25 He announced that He was the Promised One whose coming had been long awaited.  According to the Báb, His mission had two main purposes; the first was to prepare the world for the coming of Bahá’u’lláh, the Founder of the Bahá’í Faith, and the second was the announcement of the Dawn of a new Age, the Promised Day of God. You can find out more about the Báb here, or come and join us tomorrow!

The Bahá’ís of Arlington and Falls Church are going to commemorate the birth of the Báb locally with a picnic in Cherry Hill Park this Monday. Everyone is invited to join us for this joyous celebration. Below is the information, or  please contact the Baha’is of Arlington for further details:
